Cancellation of hired accommodation.
When booking, you are making a contract under which you agree to pay fees required for the holiday. Should you need to cancel your holiday any money paid would be lost. To protect you against this loss we have instituted a cancellation plan under which we guarantee to refund all money we have received from you (except the premium itself) if circumstances force you to cancel your holiday, up to and including the day you are due to arrive to commence your holiday. This will cover you for pregnancy, illness, accident or death, jury service, redundancy or occupational posting abroad for any member of your party (supporting evidence such as a doctor's certificate will be required). Cover does not extend to relatives or friends not originally booked.
The premium for this cover is shown on the tariff page. The cancellation premium is not compulsory but any fees paid would be forfeit in the event of cancellation if you choose not to take it out.
Cancellation of touring pitches at Ayr and Trevalgen
On booking you are required to send £50 deposit which is deductible from the pitch fees payable on arrival. Where written notice of cancellation is received 28 days or more before your arrival date, £35 will be returned. If less notice is given, your deposit will be retained. Reductions in your length of stay, or amendments to your booking, without the due notice may also result in loss of deposit. We do not guarantee to accept amendments to your booking.
Where touring pitches have not been claimed by 9am the day after your arrival date they will be considered available for hire and your deposit will be forfeit. Please advise us if you are delayed en-route.
Short Breaks
Are accepted all year (subject to maintenance schedules) except July and August. Please enquire for a quotation.
Pets (Ayr)
Pets are not allowed in the holiday homes but some caravans have been allocated for guests who wish to bring their pets. Please see the Park Accommodation page for details.
Dogs are allowed in some of the type A, B, F, G and I caravans. Only small to medium sized dogs will be accepted. There is an exercise area for dogs. Elsewhere on the park, dogs must be kept on a lead and not allowed to roam, nor should they ever be left unattended. A charge of £15 per dog per week is made. Most caravans will be kept "dog free". If you require one of these, please indicate so when making your booking.
In the interests of hygiene, dogs are not allowed on most St Ives beaches from Easter to the 1st October. Dogs must not be allowed on the seats or beds.
Arrival Times for Hired Accommodation (Ayr Holiday Park & Ayr Holiday Homes)
The period of hire is from 4 pm on the day of your arrival until 10 am on your day of departure. Please do not expect to gain entry before 4pm. If you arrive early in the morning your accommodation will almost certainly not be ready.
Our Holiday Homes are let on a Saturday to Saturday basis (except Primrose Cottage which is let Friday to Friday). Non Saturday arrivals can be booked throughout the season in the Type F and H caravans. Please phone for availability and price.
Arrival Times for Touring Pitches (Trevalgan & Ayr)
Touring Pitches can normally be occupied from 10.30 am on your day of arrival and must be vacated by 10 am on your day of departure. Please do not arrive after 8.00pm.
Visitors (Ayr Holiday Park & Trevalgan)
Only those named on the booking form may enter or use the facilities of the park. If you intend having visitors, they must call at reception first. We reserve the right to charge visitors for parking and the use of facilities.
Bookings Policy
It is our policy not to accept bookings from teenage groups, single sex parties, or large parties of unrelated couples.
Ayr Holiday Park is open all year round, but even outside the main season we would advise you to check availability in case our maintenance programme will cause any inconvenience.
