My family and I stayed for six nights at the begining of August, on mine and my daughters first ever camping holiday.

My eldest daughter (the younger one is two so she's not too fussy) and I are rather fussy when it comes to cleanliness of toilets & showers, but we can not compliment the staff enough for how efficiently & to such a high standard they kept these facilities.

The site it self was lovely and clean with great views over porthmeor beach, all the staff (especially the grounds men) were friendly and go out of the way to help out in any way they can, it was just a same they couldnt of done anything about the weather!

We are all looking forward to our next holiday and are looking to book up again for next year!

Once again the high standard is maintained at all levels and the changes to the touring field have raised the bar again. If only Andrew,Chris and the team could work their magic on the weather, nevertheless another great holiday.

Never having been camping before, I was unsure of what to expect - I was very pleasantly surprised. The site was set in beautiful surroundings with large serviced pitches. The showers and toilets were roomy, plentiful and spotlessly clean. It was a little further from St Ives than I would have liked (not within walking distance of a pub so take some beer with you) - as the parking is nigh on impossible in the town, but you can park on the nearer (but in my opinion inferior) Ayr campsite for two pounds a day and this is in walking distance to the town. There is a beautiful coastal walk to the town if you are feeling energetic, but the site is perfect for chilling out and enjoying lazy days in the sun. I would not hesitate to recommend this site to anyone - happy camping

Unlucky with weather for our out of season June week camping. Pity reception and shop were unmanned full-time but understandable. Facilities are top-notch, lots of investment in shower/laundry area and playground. Pitches level, view of sea and very relaxed and helpful staff. We were not chased off pitch on last day (raining) which was wonderful with two small children getting irritable and mammoth task of taking down sodden polycotton twn.

Ayr Holiday Park has got to qualify for 100% in everything, our family prefer here to going abroad. Thank you to all the staff involved. Well done, superb place to holiday.

We've been coming to St Ives with our touring caravan every year for the last 8 years. All I can say is, I wish I could stay there forever! I love waking up in the morning and seeing the fabulous 180 degree view of the sea. The shower block is always clean & tidy, with Pirate FM playing, and the showers are better than mine at home! The staff are always more than willing to help and will even help pitch your van if you need it. I'll be back again next week.

We have stayed at Travalgan for the past two years and will be visiting again in 3 weeks time. This is by far the best campsite we have ever stayed at. Staff have always been very helpfull and the facilities are great. the pitches are a decent size and are well kept. if you want a quiet stay with the family it is the place to be, Cannot wait to go again.

A fantastic site in all respects. The view over the town of St Ives to Hayle and Godrevy is stunning. The site is within 10 minutes walk of the town and glorious beaches. The site its self is one of the very best we have stayed on. It is extremely well laid out and maintained. The shower/toilet block is wonderful and always so clean. Laundry on site is excellent and at a very modest cost. Staff are helpful and friendly.Ayr Holiday Park takes some beating!
