The David Bellamy award scheme was created to recognise the work many parks like our own holiday park in Cornwall do to promote conservation on their land. Enlightened park owners realise that the natural beauty and setting of their park is a priceless asset which deserves to be nurtured.
Ayr enjoys great natural beauty and it is important to us, our visitors and local residents that our impact on the environment is minimal. Our Bellamy "Gold" Award is recognition that we operate in an environmentally friendly way, managing our land to support wildlife and minimising waste through good practice and recycling.

Not to be out-done, Travalgan also holds a Bellamy award, having attained a sufficiently high standard of environmental sustainability to be given a Silver Award. With both our sites benefiting from the stunning natural surroundings of Cornwall’s coastline and the golden sands of St. Ives, it is important to us that we do all in our power to preserve the quality and setting of our park for guests to enjoy year after year.
